Just checked my Account Settings on Facebook and I finally have the much touted HTTPS support on Facebook. I saw the Facebook blog and a couple days later, on Lifehacker.com, they said Facebook finally enabled it only to be dismayed that I didn't have the option in my account.....until today.
What does this mean? Well, if you use Facebook over WiFi or in public hot spots, you can now use a https:// secure connection instead of http:// unsecured connection to get an encrypted connection to most Facebook pages just like when you log into your bank.

...we'll provide you with the ability to experience Facebook entirely over HTTPS. You should consider enabling this option if you frequently use Facebook from public Internet access points found at coffee shops, airports, libraries or schools.
To make the change, log into your Facebook and from the top right menu, Select Account Settings under the Account Menu. Once on that page, expand Account Security. If your account has it enabled, you should now have an option to enable HTTPS. If you don't see it, you may need to wait a bit longer.

Add a check mark and click Save and your done. You will notice your address bar now shows an HTTPS. Now not all pages will have HTTPS support but at least this is a bit more protection to your Facebook data. Especially if you use Wifi or public hotspots. One drawback to this feature might be a performance hit due to the server now needing to encrypt/decrypt everything and to the user that appears as slowness.
