So i made the Foamy the Squirrel iGoogle theme and posted it on the Foamy the Squirrel Fan page on Facebook to both let fans know and get some feedback, only for Jon Mathers, the creator of Foamy, to delete my discussion posts. But unfortunately for Jon, the discussion is still there and other people are liking the theme so it just makes him look bad as they are cached and you can still see my posts with the word deleted below it...
Theme in question:
The whole way through the design and upload process, i emailed Jon and got no response. I posted the discussion only for him to delete them and not once has he contacted me, posted on my wall or even sent me a hate mail of "remove it or i'll sue!" or something along those lines...
No, Jon acts like a shy, indirect bitch and just deletes my posts even when there is only positive feedback. WHY? Even on the iGoogle page, i gave him full credit and linked to both his site and youtube page and even linking to his site again here.
Jon, this is marketing 101. This is free advertising for you, didn't cost you money or time to create, it creates additional exposure on a major site and increases the chance of someone going to his site and purchasing something or becoming another fan and most people/companies are not against this type of free marketing. The theme is not offensive IMO or portray his characters in a way to be detrimental instead of beneficial. And if Jon didn't like it, doesn't take to much effort to let me know to remove it. Instead of clicking "delete post", with the following 3 steps, Jon could have achieved the same effect with a bit more professionalism:
- Type letter "N"
- Followed by letter "O"
- Click "Post"
Now was that so hard?
What does that say to your fan base Jon???
Definition of Fan: a person devoted to a particular hobby or pastime
Do you not want people showing support for Foamy?
